“Roots” is our Sunday School that meets during the Sunday morning service. We invite children aged between 3 and 11 to join us for an hour of activities linked to a Bible story.

From September to October, our theme is “Our God Is A Great Big God.”

From November to December, our theme is “Shine Jesus Shine.”

All our leaders have a current DBS certificate and receive regular training in safeguarding.

“HIVE AT FIVE”

“HIVE At FIVE” is our mid-week club for primary-School aged children. We meet at Mexborough Life Church on Wednesdays at 5pm – 6.15pm.

We encourage children to bring their friends along for a fun session of games, quizzes, craft linked to stories from the Bible.

Our theme for September to October is: “Close Encounters with Jesus.”

Our theme for November to December is: “Christmas People.”

All our leaders have a current DBS certificate and receive regular safeguarding training.

“OPEN THE BOOK” Schools Project

We are excited to be part of this national project, called, “Open The Book” which is part of the Bible Society, a reputable and trusted Christian organisation. We join with other Christian people to go in to local schools in Mexborough and tell Bible stories using drama. We are enjoying getting to know the staff and children who warmly welcome us to their assemblies and classrooms.

All our team members are DBS checked and participate in regular safeguarding training.

For 9 years, we have been thrilled to welcome Primary-aged children from Mexborough and the surrounding areas to our Summer Clubs.

For 4 days, we explore exciting places – Outer Space, the Amazon Rainforest, the Polar Ice Caps, Spy HQ, Science Labs, the oceans with Pirates, to name but a few. Our themes are Bible-based and presented through drama, crafts, sports, team games and quizzes.
